9 Movies Where Macauley Culkin-like Youngsters Stick It to the Man

Kids do the darndest things. I'll certainly never forget when Daniel Stern took an iron to the face or when little Kevin McCallister said "keep the change you filthy animal". Granted most of these movies are from my formative years, so I found them particularly empowering. Am I out of movie cliches yet? Heells no, but if you want to try your own mashup you can give it a go here with Searchles TV.

1. Home Alone (1990). The backbone of this list. Kevin McCallister became every early 90s child's hero - taking booby traps to whole new levels and really stickin it to Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern. And Joe Pesci - he's no soft guy. In other news..."Buzz's girlfriend...woof."

2. Three Ninjas (1992). Three young brothers learn martial arts from their Japanese grandfather. THEN, in a shocking twist of events, these newfound skills are put to use when the boys become implicated (?) in an arms smuggling ring and three "dudes" named Fester, Marcus, and Hammer are charged with kidnapping them. I remember these heroes...vividly (read: childhood crush on Rocky).

3. Goonies (1985). "Down here, it's OUR time" - Sean Astin in yet another motivational role, trying to defeat both the Fratellis and corporate America by finding pirate gold?

4. Monster Squad (1987). Truth: I have not seen this...but I was told it was more than appropriate. Monster Squad is a society of young teenagers who idolize classic monsters and monster movies, and word is they are the only ones who can save the day in this here moviefilm.

5. Getting Even With Dad (1994). Macauley Culkin running it back..with long hair, stickin' it to his deadbeat, felon father played by a lovable Ted Danson.

6. Camp Nowhere (1994). Four kids don't want to go to the summer camps their parents have picked out for them so theeeeyyyy create their own!! All fun and games and Andrew Keegan (read: pre-teen crush) until Parents Day!

7. Problem Child (1990). Self-explanatory title, John Ritter and Gilbert Gottfriend included. The kid's kinda stickin' it to everyone but I'd be a bit irritated as well were I not invited to that chick's birthday party.

8. Dennis the Menace (1993). The second John Hughes film, the second Christopher Lloyd appearance, and one really flippin' adorable little kid just trying to get some love from Mr. Wilson. Not the clip where Dennis actually defeats the Hobo but endearing nonetheless.

9. School of Rock (2003). Ditching school to win Battle of the Bands...man, nothing this sweet happened in public school.
