Back in the 80s, we didn't entirely understand certain technologies as we do today (read: computers, polaroid, video games) so we needed a little friendly nudge from our celebrity friends to get us down to circuit city and do our jobs as consumers. 2. Compaq ad feat. John Cleese "I Wouldn't Watch This Commercial" (mid-80s). Sadly only aired in the UK.

4. Commodore Amiga ad feat. Tommy Lasorda, the Pointer Sisters and Tip O'Neil (1986). Not even The Pointer Sisters could save Commodore, and vice versa.
